Step
1:
Tape off all entrances with caution tape.
Step
2:
Be sure to shake or pull any loose fibers from weighted T-bar applicator.
Step
3:
Fill a plastic watering can or KaiMotion with
High Solids Gym Finish (#234) or 40%
Gym Finish (#293). It is a good idea to fill near your starting
point so any spills can be feathered into the floor.
Note: Refer to High Solids Gym Finish or 40% Gym Finish
label and MSDS for complete directions and safety information.
Step
4:
Pour a small puddle of finish on the floor to
saturate the pad.
Step
5:
Pour a 3" - 4" wide strip down the length
of the gym to the opposite corner while pulling your applicator through
the finish. Continue back and forth down the floor, pouring additional
beads of finish as needed.
Step
6:
Now overlap 4 to 6 inches. At this point, finish
can be poured onto the floor from behind the applicator during each
full length pass. Be sure to angle the applicator (about 10 degrees)
so finish runs off to the unfinished side of the floor. Do not allow
a puddle of finish to form in front of the applicator.
Step
7a or 7b:
Move at a slow walk and be sure to apply less
finish as you approach the wall.
Step
8:
Use caution on turns to eliminate puddles and
missed areas.
Step
9:
When the watering can or KaiMotion is empty, move
it to an unfinished area to refill.
Step
10:
After the first coat is applied, consult your
product label for recoat times. Wrap applicator in a plastic bag while
waiting for the previous coat to dry.
Step
11:
When the final coat of High Solids Gym Finish
(#234) or 40% Gym Finish (#293) is completely applied, pour finish from
watering can back into original container.
Step
12:
Wrap applicator head in a plastic bag and
discard.
