NCAA Extends Three-Point Line

The 2008-2009 college basketball season will usher in a new three-point line for men’s Division I, II and III teams. The current three-point line is at 19’-9”. The new men’s line will be at 20’-9”. The 19’-9” line will remain on the floor for women’s basketball.

The easiest way to add the new line is by measuring 10 inches back from the outside edge of the current three-point line. This will indicate the inside edge of the new men’s line. The line must be solid, 2 inches wide and contrast in color to the current three-point line.

This will be a great opportunity for distributors and contractors to pick-up Sport Kote® (#222) recoating business since the new game line with need to be finished over for protection. In the Unites States, there are exactly 1,000 colleges with men’s division I, II or III basketball teams.
