Winter Floor Care
We all know the perils of applying floor finish during the hot, humid
months of the summer. Applying finish in the winter doesnt pose
the same challenge as the summer, but there are still a few things to
remember:
- Always
warm the finish to room temperature, whether for resilient floors
or wood floors, before applying.
- Do
not apply finish if the temperature is below 60°F in the facility
itself.
- If
humidity is very low (< 30%), apply a little heavier coat to avoid
flash drying.
- Use
Blue Concentrate (#2085) to
clean floors where salt residue is a problem. This is especially useful
before recoats.
