Biobased Products
Sometimes the biggest "bang for your buck" comes from the easiest and most obvious changes. Such is the case with Essential Industries' DCS™ products. With biobased manufacturing getting a lot of attention recently, we decided to take a closer took at our current line of Green Seal-certified DCS products to see if they would meet the biobased criteria. The good news is that six of them do – #41, #42, #43, #46, #48 and #52. All six fall into the High Biobased Content category which means they are made with ingredients from renewable plant and animal sources. According to the Biobased Manufacturers Association, a high biobased content product equals 51-90%.
We will be adding the High Biobased Content logo (shown to the right) to the six DCS product labels as well as to literature sheets, brochures and web pages, where appropriate. A new six-page flyer called, Essentially Biobased (literature code 90000BDCS-BIO), is also available.
