Testimonial
Satin Sport Kote® Shines at Canadian
Art Museum

The Beaverbrook Art Gallery in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada, is extremely fussy about the finish they use on their wood floors. With works of art nearly 700 years old and a gorgeous facility to boot, who wouldn't be? To receive such a positive testimonial from George Hill, Facilities Manager, at Beaverbrook, is a wonderful accomplishment. Here is what George had to say about Satin Sport Kote® (#228) :

"We have been very pleased with the Essential line of products since we changed over to them one year ago. The cost savings and simplicity of application has been a super asset to the gallery. The previous floor finishing was done over the period of a week at the cost of $14,000. The end result was anything but favorable.

The same area now had three coats of Satin Sport Kote done in one evening and burnished before the gallery opened at 9:00 a.m., the next day. The coats allowed for different areas of the gallery to be done on separate nights and left no seam marks.

All material used by the gallery must be pre-approved by our Collections Manager, Rachel Brodie Venart, who in turn gets approval from the Canadian Conservation Institute and their conservation scientist in Ottawa. All the materials used have been approved and are safe to use around the art works and museum pieces.

The heavy traffic flow of visitors to the gallery has been extreme in the past few months and the maintenance of the floors is at a fraction of the cost in previous years. I can't imagine going back to the old products."
