Rubber-Studded Floor Care
Studded flooring
is next to impossible to protect with floor finish due to its high and
low spots. Until now, most users of this floor type just tried to keep
it clean and hoped for the best in terms of shine. Now, a new pad and
a unique polishing compound are changing all this.
Glit's
new Contour pad line, combined with Essential's Gelcon™
(#207) polishing compound produces fantastic results with minimal
effort. As its name suggests, the Contour pad allows for complete buffing
of uneven surfaces, while Gelcon cleans and shines in one easy step.
By following the procedures outlined below, your customers can have
like new rubber studded floors:
- Sweep
or vacuum the floor.
-
Damp mop the floor with Nu-Tral
Cleaner (#507) diluted 2 ounces per gallon.
-
Allow the floor to dry.
-
Using a swing buffer and the Contour Scrub Pad, apply a 2 or 3 inch
"rope" of Gelcon to the floor.
-
Set the buffer on top of the Gelcon and clean approximately 200 square
feet.
-
Keep applying to 200 square feet areas until the entire floor has
been treated.
-
If desired, the Contour Polish Pad can now be used to bring extra
shine to the floor. Apply in the same manner as above.
Note:
Once the floor has been restored, weekly cleaning and polishing can
be performed with just the Contour Polish Pad.
