Wood Floor Care Tip
Maroon Pads
There are numerous ways to prep wood floors before recoating with Sport Kote®. Both screens and pads work nicely and often the choice of which to use depends on the condition of the floor. One particular pad we’ve been working with for the past couple of years with great success is the maroon pad. This pad is very dense and has a fairly “rough” feel to it. It is not as coarse as a black pad and therefore isn’t as prone to scratching although it cleans and de-glosses floors incredibly well. More pad manufactures are adding maroon pads to their lines – you may want to check with your pad supplier to see if they are available.
